Where We EAT: Ponderosa Beach Club, Playa de Muro.

Let's be honest, there are a lot of beaches here in Mallorca and there never seems to be enough time. This year I am finally branching out of my Top 3 Favorite Beaches and exploring the island more. To my surprise I found a lovely stretch of white sandy beach I have always thought would be "too touristy". That the food at the local Chringuito wouldn't be tasty and creative. I have no idea what took me so long, but I'm glad I have found, Ponderosa Beach.

The drive from Palma de Mallorca took about 45 minutes as after Inca, it's all country roads. The Beach Club is easy to find and even though we got there right at lunch time there was still some parking on the road (it's all free!) The decor at Ponderosa Beach Club is clean white and teal blue which completely matches the color of the Sea! The food was light and full of flavor and probably some of the freshest Sepia I have eaten, paired with hand-cut french fries it was the star of our lunch. The thing that attracted me the most about this particular beach club was it's mission statement of using local ingredients as much as possible. Supporting the local farmers and fishermen to ensure freshness but also to keep everything they do in control! I can 100% stand behind that, and I am looking forward to another beach day excursion to try more of the menu items.
